Let The Gym Come To You

Personal trainer Andy Lamb has done me the world of good since he first brought the gym to my home around two years ago. Being over 60, my rather physical job was getting more and more difficult. I was regularly straining, twisting and hurting myself. I realised I had to keep my body in shape, but despite regular visits to the gym, nothing much changed. My injuries kept on happening, along with subsequent visits to the chiropractor, the sports massage guy and the doctor. Things just couldn’t go on the way they were, and I was reluctantly looking at how I could give up my work. Thankfully, I saw Andy’s advertisement and gave him a call. With his personal attention and a carefully designed set of exercises, I am now stronger and more able to deal with the physical aspects of my work than I have been in some years. Obviously, I must put in some effort in myself, but find that Andy’s considerable expertise in so many areas of well-being, always keeps me just in the right place so I get exercises that help and don’t hurt. Andy’s careful focus also changes things depending on how I feel – easing things off a bit if I’m not feeling so energetic. As I write this (April 2020), we are a couple of weeks into the coronavirus lockdown and can easily continue my home exercise routine and stay physically fit and active - an unexpected but very welcome benefit of Andy’s approach of “let the gym come to you”. If you are looking for a personal trainer, I most certainly recommend Andy Lamb.

I have been working with Andy for 2 years now and thanks to him I don't have a bad back anymore ........... what more can I say!!! Great work Andy you are a star.

There are many things I could say about Andy, but I don't think I can put into words quite how much I enjoy my personal training sessions with him. He is everything you could want in a personal trainer. He doesn't judge, but encourages you. He doesn't force you, but wants you to give the best you can for you. I suffer with many medical conditions, and Andy tailors everything we do around those. I initially started training with him as I wanted to be able to climb Snowdon, but didn't want to stop there. My confidence in so many aspects of my life has increased because of the work that Andy and I do together. He is also always an absolute pleasure and I'm always sad when our sessions are over! We do boxing, strength training, cardio, etc.. and he is so knowledgeable about so much. I feel in very safe hands, and he is also going to be helping me recover from an operation soon and working with me to do physio. If you want someone to do everything a personal trainer does and more, I could not recommend Andy enough. He is an absolute wonder worker and an all round lovely caring person! Thank you Andy!! :)

I have recently started training with Andy after wanting to move out of my comfort zone and try something new particularly strength based. Andy introduced me to TRX training and over the past couple of months has guided me through the technique, form and adequate program to both challenge me and add variation and fun!!! He is highly knowledgeable during all sessions and is happy to answer any questions I've had with both training and general health and fitness. He knows I have an old tennis elbow and knee injury and has worked round those tailoring the exercises accordingly. I am throughly enjoyimg the sessions and would highly recommend him without hesitation.

I first contacted Andy May 2016. I had not done any exercise for many years and was overweight and very unfit. I was really nervous as I didn't know what to expect from a personal trainer and was worried I would get someone who would be shouty and unsympathetic. However, I knew something needed to change. I could not have been more wrong. Andy gently nudged me to try a trial session and take it from there. I haven't looked back. I train with Andy twice a week and no longer dread exercise. I went from not being able to use my cross trainer at home to using it for 30 minutes a day between sessions. Each session is different, Andy always tries new and interesting exercise routines and our sessions can cover martial arts, boxing, strength, cardio, weights. Always different combinations and always pushing me just enough so I keep getting fitter but never to put me off. Having a session booked forces me to make time for exercise in my life and I am very grateful to Andy for making me see exercise as something that needs to be part of my day rather than something to be dreaded.

I have been training with Andy since October 2016 and in the 5 months I have been training with Andy I have lost 11lbs and I have dropped a dress size, dropped inches from all over my body, gained muscle and have dropped to a really healthy body fat %. I am so happy with the results Andy has helped me achieve. Prior to training with Andy I had gained almost a stone after going on various holidays and as a Weight Watchers gold member I had been trying my hardest to shift the weight and change my body size but nothing worked, Andy has helped me change my attitude towards food and training and as a result of this I have been able to achieve the results I wanted and more. I now have a completely different attitude towards food and excersize and its a sustainable way of life that I absolutely love. Andy's training sessions are always different and he ensures the sessions are specific to your own needs to help you achieve your goals. I love the fact that we train in my own home and he is always accommodating when it comes to fitting in sessions that work with my busy lifestyle. Andy weighs and measures me once a month and it keeps me focused all the time and even though we only train once a week I am 100% focused for the rest of the week knowing that the scales are going to come out and i'm going to have to get back on them each month! I would absolutely recommend training with Andy. Thanks so much for everything you have helped me achieve.

When I first contacted Andy, I wanted to lose a bit of weight so I could fit into my summer dresses for a holiday. I had done the bare minimum of any form of exercise, preferring to lay on the sofa with a Strawberry Cider! After a couple of sessions with Andy, not only could I fit into my dresses, but I felt so much better. My back problems eased, my niggly aches and pains disappeared and I genuinely feel better all round. Andy will tell you that he definitely thought I would only last a few sessions, but due to his knowledge and encouragement I have continued. Each session is varied and interesting and I never get bored. The best bit was when he introduced boxing, definitely an untapped skill!

I just cannot recommend andy enough!! I'm just four short weeks I achieved a huge 10 inch loss, my body mass reduced by 8% muscle mass up and weight loss of four pounds in weight gone!! I have never enjoyed exercising so much as I do with andy especially boxing! He is so encouraging and totally believes in me that I can do it and pushes me to my limit which is exactly what I need! Last weekend I took part in an event which andy totally believed I could do even when I didn't! I listen to his brilliant advice and have taken it all on board and this is why I have these amazing results! Andy believes in me and that I can achieve my goals and I now believe I can with Andy's help.

Andy is the Best! He has in 11 weeks turned a middle-ish aged woman that did no exercise for 7 years, had two children by C section, years of abusing my body with bad choices, and a weakness in my core strength I did not think I would overcome. I have achieved so much just by his pure brilliance. He has completely changed my mindset of it just being about loosing weight!! I am now changing my body shape, reducing my body fat and getting fit, he is guiding me on diet and healthy choices. Always encouraging, supportive and challenging me in every training session. If you want to make a change to your body and mindset and get fit all at the same time Andy is definitly your man. 110% recommend.

We have both been trainig with Andy for over a year. Initially it was very hard as we were so unfit and so very overweight 22 and 21 stone.Andy has given us the motivation to acheive targets we could only dream about. We have both lost 3 stone alongside his training. Last week we both acheived 100 squats 100 press up and a minute low planking.I also acheived a personal best of 15k on the bike level 4 in 30 mins.We both have a long way to go yet but we see this happening with Andys support motivation & encouragement.To any person reading this who thinks they are too big or too unfit.....DO IT. Employing Andys services is an investment in your future health and welbeing and lets face it YOU'RE WORTH IT. Thank you Andy.

Andy is the perfect trainer for anyone at any fitness level even if you have not been active in a long time and lack the motivation to exercise. He actually makes the training sessions fun and really encourages you. He has a great understanding of his clients needs and never fails to amaze me with the variation in the training plan and exercises he comes up with. He actually really makes me want to push myself that little bit extra every session. Always very supportive and has definitely helped and motivated me to become way more active in my daily life. I can highly recommend Andy as a trainer.

Andy is a great trainer for anyone who's a complete novice to training. He operates at a manageable pace specific to his client and provides encouraging feedback. Andy's training suits clients who are house-bound and he can tailor plans according to the space available.

Have been working out with andy for several months now as I was keen to build my core strength. I had several problem areas, particularly back and shoulder!! I am now back to full strength and able to play tennis for the first time in 4 years!! Thoroughly recommend his balance of patience and discipline!!

I've been training with Andy since January this year when I was struggling to find time to make some classes or attend the gym. Andy has been fantastic, we have at least two sessions a week and Andy always finds the time to fit them in, even if that means the occasional Sunday. Every session is different from circuits to martial arts. We have a monthly weigh in and Andy emails the results to me so I can keep a track of my progress, whats more I enjoy our sessions and don't dread exercising anymore! I can't recommend Andy enough and have no complaints at all! :)

I've been training with Andy for over a year now and am very impressed with his approach, motivation and the results! A year last May I was feeling old, suffering from recurring back pain and generally struggling to keep up with my 7 year old son. Thanks to weekly sessions with Andy, I'm fitter than I've been in my life and my back hasn't been a problem in over a year. I'm even running again, which I haven't done in 10 years. Thank you!

Having trained for about a year on my own without achieving much I began training with Andy. He talked through my objectives which were to lose fat and gain muscle and then designed a program to achieve this. About three months on I am very pleased with the progress. Andy changes the program frequently to prevent boredom and develop various muscle groups further. Without Andy's help I am sure I would not have achieved the results I have. From conversation with him he takes his business very seriously and continues to further develop his own skills by taking further training opportunities. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone,whatever their ability, age group or health issues. He will help motivate you to achieve your goal.

I’ve met Andy in the Thame gym a few months ago and I can honestly say that he is a fantastic trainer – patient, motivating and highly professional. His programmes are varied and fun, yet challenging, and although I’m generally quite fit, within weeks of working from Andy’s programme I lost body fat and gained strength - not to mention motivation - which is sometimes difficult visiting the gym twice a week or so! My latest achievement is a 2 ½-minute plank – thanks to Andy’s coaching and help. Oh yes, I forgot to mention that I am 60+, so no matter what age, Andy will definitely help you getting fit, toned and feeling much better and healthier. Book now!! I can highly recommend him!

We have been training with Andy for the last 6 months. We started to help us get in shape for our wedding but have continued. We train together even though we have different needs and Andy tailors the sessions so we both get the most out of them. He also makes every training session different which keeps us interested as well as gets results. We both feel much fitter and stronger since training with Andy and would highly recommend him whatever your goals and needs.

I've been training with Andy for the past 5 months and I can't recommend him enough! My whole outlook on training and it's benefits have changed after working with him. I'm finally toned and dropped almost 2 dress sizes. He's super friendly and knows all there is to know about training. I would never have reached my goals without him. He's the BEST!

Highly recommend!! Since I started I've lost 1 stone,gained more confidence and my fitness has improved so much, Andy is friendly and motivating and always on hand if I need advice could not think of anyone else better to train with! Well worth it
